Pomellato’s New Peter Lindbergh–Shot Ad Campaign Is Pro-Woman

The campaign’s hashtag sums it up #PomellatoForWomen

On the heels of Milan Fashion Week, Italian fine jewelry brand Pomellato hosted a cocktail party Feb. 23 to celebrate its new Ritratto collection, and the striking new ad campaign that promotes it.

The campaign centers around a series of black-and-white portraits of “real” women shot by iconic fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh and is meant to be pro-woman in its message. The brand launched a hashtag, #PomellatoForWomen, for the occasion.

The portraits feature artist Anh Duong, nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson, brand advisor Helen Nonini, art curator Caroline Corbetta, model and visual artist Larissa Hofmann, and writer Pihla Hintikka. Prints of the images were presented in an installation of over 100 floating frames at Milan’s Teatro Arsenale for the cocktail event.

In a statement, the brand called its photo subjects “real women who speak to real women.”

The rise of jewelry and fashion campaigns and product that are vocal in their support of women and women’s rights is, not surprisingly, on the rise. Considering the anti-woman legislation suddenly in play in the United States (and the world over), the timing is perfect for big jewelry brands to take a stand.
